Local entrepreneur Donna clearly remembers the time her son Joel was a year old. He had received one of those plastic coated place mats decorated with the numbers one through 10. She says, “I would point to the numbers and tell him the names. Whenever he pointed to 10, he would get tickled. Then, when we were outside the home he would start to find 10’s around town, and get tickled every time he saw that number.” And that’s how the pre-school interactive book, Tickle 10 was born.
Tickle 10 has a catchy rhyme to it, which will get kids attention. But the opportunity for parents and older siblings to interact is the genius of the little tome. Like the character “Buddy Boy” in the book, the younger child can start to look for numbers around his life, and get rewarded with a tickle when he finds a 10. Not only a fun way to pass the time for families, but it also gets children a positive start on learning their numbers. With so many Americans seemingly afraid of math, it’s a great solution to get kids on the right path with a fun game."
When I taught Jr High School, I was assigned the one class to teach that no other teacher wanted - Logic. As I prepared for the class and even thru the 1st day of class, I was bored. And if I thought the subject was dry & boring - I could only imagine what my students felt. So after prayer, God gave me several games to play. Almost immediately this class became "The Class"! We laughed and learned while every student passed with flying colors.
What I learned is: When you combine learning with emotions - especially laughter - you will learn faster and retain the knowledge.
Tickle 10 accomplishes this by combining laughter and learning. Try it today and see for yourself.
